The cricket season is drawing to a close but there is still plenty to look forward to at BSCC – here is a summary of September’s club events.
• On Sunday (sept 8th) we have the plate finals of the Community League – come up and catch some friendly cricket with a drink on the terrace while you can! Matches will take place at 10am, 1pm and 4pm with a BBQ at 1pm. Our charity of the year, Budleigh Hospiscare, will be holding a Gin raffle during the day – pop up and buy a ticket!
• On Saturday September 21 we have our END OF SEASON PARTY and senior awards night! The awards will take place from 7pm to 8pm,with popular local band The Naughty Steps kicking off the party at 8.30pm. The kitchen will be open for hot food, last food orders at 9.30pm. Come and enjoy some great music and celebrate a wonderful season. Free entry!
• On Sunday, September 22 at 4pm it is the turn of the juniors to celebrate and reflect on their summer of cricket. The junior awards is a chance for coaches, players and their families to come together, revisit the highlights of the season and reward and recognise the ability and attitude that makes us all so proud of them. Chef Joe will be on hand to serve hot food afterwards so stay on for dinner!
• On Saturday, September 28, from 1pm onwards we are proud to host Budleigh Salterton and District Hospiscare’s Forget Me Not Memory Walk. Cream teas will be served at The Holt from 2pm until 5pm that day with a donation from each one sold going to Budleigh Hospiscare, our club charity of the year.
