Dates for your diaries!
As the season draws to a close we have an action packed September of celebrations coming – please note the following dates in your diary that are relevant to you!
• September 6/7 – Community League Finals weekend. A family friendly weekend of cricket and live music with a real ale, cider and gin festival! All welcome - free entry! On the Saturday there will be the added attraction of face painting by Miss Sparkles and a bouncy castle.
Both days will have semi final matches at 10am and 1pm with the cup final at 4pm on the Saturday and the plate final at 4pm on the Sunday.
Breakfast will be available from 9am to 11am both days with a BBQ from 12 noon until 8pm.
On Saturday we will have live music from vocalist John Sumner at 3pm and, by popular demand, at 7pm we will be welcoming back the Club Classics Experience for some ultimate 90s anthems! On Sunday, for a laid-back vibe, come along and soak up the sounds of guitarist and vocalist Scott Phillips at 12 noon.
Please note – on the Saturday, in partnership with Hospiscare, we will be running a giant tombola stall. We would welcome donations to this, bottles, preserves, toiletries, sweet treats etc all new and within their use-by date please. We have a box under the stairs at the clubhouse in which your donations can be placed – thank you in advance!
• Friday September 12 – Volunteer thank you night! This is a special evening to say thank you to all those who have helped us out over the 2025 season, from helping in Andys Bar, to car park marshalling, coming along to our working party days etc you know who you are! Come along at 7.30pm for a drink on us, some nibbles and live music.
• Saturday September 27 – Senior Players awards night. A night for the players, umpires and scorers to reflect on and celebrate a fantastic season! Info to come via team captains.
• Sunday, September 28 – Junior Awards - 4pm-6pm (followed by optional £7 hot buffet). An afternoon for junior players and their families to celebrate the season! Information to come via age group whatsapp groups.
