BSCC first team skipper Ed Doble has been signed for a 2025/26 season Down Under!
Ed, who has played for BSCC since the age of 6, will travel to Oz in early October to play a season with Port Melbourne Cricket Club – home club of BSCC overseas player Luke.
He said: “I’m looking forward to getting out to Australia, this will be a great opportunity to play cricket over the winter and play in Melbourne and test myself in different conditions”
BSCC Director Bill Roper said: “We’re very excited for Ed to be able to go to Australia and show what he can do – We know Ed will meet the challenge of Australian conditions head on. This year he has led our 1st XI by example and we wish him all the success over there!”
A spokesman for Port Melbourne CC said: “Ed is having an outstanding summer in the UK with over 600 runs in all formats and collected 20 wickets with the ball. Great to have you Ed and we look forward to you joining us!”.
Everyone at BSCC wishes Ed all the luck and we look forward to welcoming him back for the 2026 Otters season!
