A bumper weekend of cricket to kick of the season has left the club energised and optimistic for 2025 fixtures!
The first league matches of the season saw BSCC celebrate wins at home for our 1st XI ( vs Bideford) and 3rd XI (vs Newton St Cyres)- the mood was buoyant for Saturday night’s Start of Season party!
“Great start to the season with a complete team performance” was the verdict of 1st Team Captain Ed Doble.
James England, ‘squadron leader’ for our 3rd XI commented: “It was good to get back out and blow away the cobwebs even better to pick up the first win of the season! “
Friday night junior training took place in glorious evening sunlight and the BSCC Community league swung into action on Sunday with the Colts winning against The Dads and with The Kings Arms celebrating victory against pub team rival The Sir Walter Raleigh on Bank Holiday Monday while the Inbetweeners came out on top after their clash with the Academy.

A 4 wicket away win at Bournemouth means the Devon Women are through to Round 2 of the Vitality T20 Women’s County Cup at The Holt on Sunday, May 11.
