A record turnout for our Get Set Day means the club is looking in great shape for the start of the season!
Thank you so much to all of the 35 volunteers that came along to help us tackle a long list of odd jobs around the club – the outdoor furniture is out of storage, the changing rooms are sparkling clean and a host of other tasks have been completed.
And congratulations to the first 20 volunteers to turn up – their punctuality earnt them each an ECB Cricket Collective black bucket hat!
Drizzle and a hailstorm didn’t stop our intrepid volunteers from getting the jobs done and the day, co-ordinated by BSCC’s Carolyn Roper, was the first club engagement for our new chairman James England in his official role!
He said: “It was fantastic to see so many club members volunteer their Saturday morning getting the club ready for the summer of cricket as well as many new faces as well which is always a welcome site. The club as a whole is thankful for everyone's time.”
