We are delighted to have had our efforts to be an inclusive club recognised by the ECB!
Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club has been chosen to receive a hamper and a £150 supermarket voucher – to be used to boost our work encouraging more people into the game.
We will use the resource, given as part of the ECB’s Taste of Cricket campaign, to host a free cricket tea at an Autumn cricket taster event to encourage more women to give the sport a go.
Claire Jamieson from ECB said: “As part of this campaign and thanks to the support of our partner, Remitly, we’re thrilled to let you know that your club has been selected to receive a special Taste of Cricket hamper, recognising your outstanding efforts in making cricket more diverse, equitable and inclusive.
"Part of our existing ‘Raising The Game’ platform, Taste of Cricket will see special match teas hosted at clubs across England and Wales, bringing beloved classics and innovative twists on cricket tea recipes and, importantly, bringing opportunities for fans and community members the chance to unite over a great game and great food."
The women’s taster session and tea will be held at The Holt at 7pm on Wednesday October 2 and is open to women of all ages – come along and have a go!
