In a weekend of recognition and reflection the club celebrated a year of successes with its annual Senior Awards night on Saturday and the Junior Awards on Sunday afternoon.
The Holt was packed with coaches, players and their families for both events during which achievements on and off the pitch were rewarded.
Club secretary and coach Bill Roper reported how our junior and senior sides had played a combined total of more than 150 matches at The Holt in the 2024 season!
The Junior awards saw coaches present trophies to the top bowlers and batters and ‘coaches’ players’ to each of the seven age groups categories teams from U10 Softball to U15 hardball and every junior player received a medal.
The Senior Awards night was generously sponsored by Jurassic Spaces, Andrew Mills Surveyors, Alex Richardson and GD Construction and culminated in the end of season party with music from The Naughty Steps.
Each event enjoyed a record attendance in the wonderful surroundings of The Holt and
proceeds from raffles at both events gave a £400 boost to the club’s latest fundraising drive – to fund the creation of an accessible patio around the clubhouse improving access for those with mobility issues and making the area more welcoming for all players and visitors.
