HEATHCOAT’S long-serving batsman Dylan Penberthy-Hutchings is on the way to A Division side Budleigh Salterton.
Penberthy-Hutchings, a batter and part-time bowler who can also keep wicket, went through the youth system at Knightshayes before graduating into adult cricket in 2010 via the club’s North Devon League side.
In all competitions – North Devon League, Tolchards Devon League, cups and T20 tournaments – 27 year old Penberthy-Hutchings has appeared more than 170 times for the club.
Penberthy-Hutchings made two appearances in Devon’s Minor Counties side in the 2016 season as an opening batsman, but only got into double figures once in four innings.
Penberthy-Hutchings final outing for Heathcoat was in a second-team game against Kilmington on the final day of the 2021 season. He bowed out on a high with a career-best knock of 118 against Kilmington.
