A field of frenzied tiny tots on Friday evening could only mean one thing - the start of our 2025 ECB All Stars programme!
With more than 50 children aged from 5 to 8 attending, the first session was a clear hit with youngsters and their parents thanks to the wonderful leadership of BSCC All Stars co-ordinator Spencer House.
All Stars Cricket is an action-packed eight week national programme of game-based activities that will help develop the fundamental movement skills children needs for a gentle introduction to cricket. It is run by volunteers at clubs throughout the country and here at Budleigh we are very grateful to Spencer and his team of ‘activators’ for rolling out eight weeks of fun at The Holt. It is lovely to welcome new families and to see familiar faces returning.
Spencer said of Friday’s session: “After weeks of preparation it was so nice to see such a great turnout of All Stars and parents for our first session. The Activators have lots of fun games to try out in the coming weeks and we can’t wait to see how much fun the All Stars have.”
